Unveiling Expanded Capabilities for the Fraud Intelligence Blockchain
Wed Nov 06 2024
London, United Kingdom - Fraud Intelligence Limited
Founded as a UK-incorporated Joint Venture between ORILLION and SORAMITSU, Fraud Intelligence Limited is delighted to announce further enhancements to the Fraud Intelligence Blockchain. This community-led platform enables all to share fraud intelligence for the common good.
Customers on the Fraud Intelligence Blockchain have already seen the benefits of working together. Through our partners and customers, we have witnessed a 2x growth or more than 1M+ fraud identifiers shared in FY 2024 alone.
Following our web application upgrade, Fraud Intelligence Limited announced on November 6, 2024, the release of the following capabilities, providing customers with the confidence and capability to use our data with ease of mind.
This update includes important features such as
Specific areas face specific fraud types. Thanks to the new filter that narrows searches to geographic locations, the fraud intelligence provided is more accurate, catering to regional needs and providing area-relevant information.
Security is a priority. It never ends well when you overlook security. We have designed and mapped out a nonintrusive 2FA experience that provides customers with more flexibility in using our infrastructure and data with ease of mind, consistent with the highest industry best practices.
Fraud Intelligence Limited is committed to empowering our community with tools that improve fraud detection. Our new Expiration Date feature allows dynamic configuration per fraud type, replacing the previous global validity period. This improvement helps telcos better manage fraud identifiers, ensuring more relevant data remains active while outdated ones are removed. This enhances accuracy and network security in the fight against evolving fraud tactics.
Vendors play an important role in the contributions made to the Fraud Intelligence Blockchain; the ability to attribute who shared the data, whether it is a vendor or a telecom provider directly, is a critical capability that enables us to reward participation and ensure that the use of our tokens (to buy /earn rights) is fair and consistent for all parties.
Thanks to your valuable feedback and insights, the Fraud Intelligence interface has also received quality-of-life improvements that make information input and search more intuitive. Additionally, errors flagged are explicitly defined to improve the overall user experience.
There are many urgent and critical challenges facing the telecommunications space; we will continue working tirelessly with our customers and partners to provide innovative and sensible ways to empower global risk and fraud intelligence professionals. That means shipping more code, often tested, with global support. We’re taking the battle directly to the fraudsters.
— Andrew Wong, COO, Soramitsu
With these new features, we’re giving fraud teams the tools to respond more effectively to the constantly shifting tactics of fraudsters. Features like geofiltering and dynamic expiration dates mean our customers can focus on the most relevant threats in their region, while enhanced security ensures confidence in the data they rely on. These updates reinforce our goal to deliver practical, forward-thinking solutions that help our partners fight fraud on their terms.
